About Nabeel Kallas

Hello there! This is Nabeel Kallas, the creator and writer behind ThoughtCaught.

You see, the reason I decided to bring this blog to life, is that I want you to start doing what I did, earlier than me.

You see, I’ve often experienced déjà vu in the shape of lessons learned, feelings felt, and observations made, but with the details blurred by the passing of time. Sometimes, the moments we learn and when we apply those learnings are miles apart. Therein lies the magic of journaling – it bridges that gap.

I’ll admit, I’ve often been labeled ‘dramatic’ for delving deep into emotions and psychology. But, isn’t life all about our feelings guiding our actions? Understanding ourselves leads to better emotional health, more conscious decision-making, and a life led with intention.

I’ve journeyed through various types of journaling – from the three pages each morning to daily prompts and pretty much most things in between. Each has illuminated my path, teaching me about myself in ways I hadn’t imagined before.

Writing has this innate ability to coax out thoughts and emotions that even our conscious mind might overlook. It’s like having a conversation with your inner self. These dialogues, recorded on paper (or a screen), serve as a tangible memory, a snapshot of our journey.

I embarked on my journaling voyage when I moved continents, starting a fresh chapter in my life. Having studied medicine in another city, I was always neck-deep in books and academic words, I also was busy publishing a novel, and writing more than that was the last thing I wanted to do.

However, looking back at these phases now, I wish I had journaled all the way back since my teen years to capture the experiences, struggles, triumphs, and growth.

But I vowed not to let my new chapter slip away into the recesses of memory.

Through ThoughtCaught, I aim to inspire and assist you in starting your own journaling journey. It’s never too late to start recording your thoughts, feelings, and life lessons. So, will you make that promise with me today?
